Now, grain of salt first... the author is obviously from the right, but he's making some very interesting points that appear to be backed up by events that are actually happening.

Is this a good thing, or will the limitations be more of a detriment?

I honestly don't see how having hospitals making decisions is going to better than private practice physicians making decisions. Hospitals are notorious for only caring about the dollars, regardless of what you see on House.

I suppose what I'm afraid of is that if a hospital administration has to make a decision on "save a life" or "save a dollar" they will be hard pressed to choose the former. Of course, it can be argued that this happens already but will the caps coming in change that even more?
